I am rediscovering my health and wellness mission by remembering the spark I felt toward nutrition as a child. I was fascinated by how food affects our bodies and minds, but I never pursued it seriously. Life led me down different paths, sidetracking my interest. Then, in 2017, when my mother passed away, followed by a personal health scare in 2018, my perspective changed drastically. I knew I had to make health a priority. It was during this period that I decided to start this blog—my way of documenting my journey toward better health and wellness and sharing it with the hope of helping others. However, I must admit, my consistency wavered along the way.

A Wake-Up Call in September
Fast forward to the week of September 15–21, 2024, my health and wellness mission started weighing heavily on my mind. I was constantly reminded of the commitment I made to myself back in January 2023 when I officially started this blog. Something within me seemed to be pulling me back, urging me to realign with my health goals. It got to the point where I felt so restless that I decided to reach out to those closest to me—my friends, family, and my online community.
I posed a simple question: “If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ve been sharing content around three key areas: sales strategies for small business growth, health and wellness tips, and my love for crochet. I’m curious—which of these resonates with you the most, and why?”
Unsurprisingly, the majority of responses centered around my health and wellness content. It made me realize that many of us are on a shared journey toward better health and happiness, often grappling with discipline and consistency. This was a much-needed wake-up call for me to recommit to my health mission.
The Return to My Childhood Passion: Nutrition
Now, more than ever, I feel driven to return to my childhood passion—nutrition, specifically a plant-based approach. My focus is on applying what I learn about holistic nutrition to improve my health and to share those insights with others. I aim to provide practical advice that can benefit anyone, but I am especially passionate about helping women who are over 50. As we age, it becomes even more critical to pay attention to our well-being, and I believe that a plant-based lifestyle can offer tremendous benefits.
Committing to the Mission
While discipline and consistency have posed challenges, I am more determined than ever to make this mission a lasting part of my life. I’ve realized that the journey isn’t just about achieving perfect health but about progress, learning, and the willingness to share that process with others. I aim to ‘hopefully’ enroll in a nutrition course to gain a solid foundation and certification that will empower me to help others more effectively.
Additionally, I envision creating a comprehensive resource hub on my blog, including downloadable guides, meal plans, and recipes aimed specifically at women over 50. My goal is to equip you with the tools you need to make informed choices about your health, integrating personal stories and testimonials to highlight the transformative power of a holistic lifestyle.
Community Engagement
Engaging with my audience is essential to the success of my health and wellness mission. I plan to host regular Q&A sessions where followers can ask questions about nutrition, and wellness practices, or share their own experiences. This will create an interactive space for us to learn from each other.
I’m also considering creating a support group, either online or in-person, where women can come together to share their health journeys, challenges, and successes. This group will be a safe space for encouragement and accountability, helping us all stay committed to our goals.
